Our School

A community is created within the classroom and the school. Our classrooms create a home-like, “living room” for children. Children move freely within the space, choosing activities most appropriate for their interest and development. Our classrooms give younger children a chance to look ahead and see what is coming next by watching the older children. Older children have the chance to reinforce their knowledge by sharing it with the younger children.    

Montessori programs are unique and are based on the developmental characteristics children, as identified by Maria Montessori. Guided by a Montessori trained adult, the child learns through active interaction with the prepared classroom environment and multi-aged peers.  https://www.childrensownschool.org
